Our goal at Healthy Pets NH is to create better relationships between animals and their humans through the proper education of both species.  Our educational wellness classes are perfect for anyone from pet parents to pet professionals.  In addition to our array of classes, we offer Canine Massage and Reiki services as well as Canine Fitness Training in an individual or group setting.

Underwater Treadmill for Fitness Related Goals

We are proud to offer Underwater Treadmill sessions for improved cardiovascular endurance, strength building, and weight management.  The buoyancy of the water creates a safe environment for injured joints or decreased strength by reducing weight-bearing by up to 60%.  Underwater Treadmill can also be used as a complement to veterinary care after an injury or surgery as it can improve range of motion in compromised joints. 

Please contact us if you think your dog may benefit from Underwater Treadmill.  A referral from your veterinarian and/or assessment by our practitioners may be required before treatment can begin. 

Canine Fitness Training

We offer both group and individual sessions of Canine Fitness Training as well as programs designed to help your dog meet a specific wellness goal.  Our group classes are often geared toward a particular canine population (by age, skill level, or objective) but are still very inclusive and personalized.   Individual Canine Fitness Training sessions and Programs offer one-on-one support and attention. 

So, What Is Canine Fitness Training?

Canine Fitness Training focuses on all five aspects of canine total health: Strength, Flexibility, Balance, Cardiorespiratory and Mental Endurance. During a group or individual session, each dog's goals are determined and a fitness program is designed based on those goals. You will learn how to help your dog through exercises designed to address their goals while staying within their abilities and catering to specific needs or mobility issues. Canine Fitness Training is a compliment to veterinary care and is not meant to treat or diagnose.

CPR & First Aid For Pets

The CPR & First Aid for Pets Class is ideal for pet owners and pet professionals who want to know how to provide basic emergency and first aid care for their pet prior to veterinary care.  Research done by the American Animal Hospital Association has shown that 60% of all animal hospital visits are emergency in nature and that 1 out of 4 more pet’s lives could be saved if just one first aid technique was delivered before veterinary care.
This class will buy your pet valuable, life saving time by teaching you over 50 different skill sets that you can use prior to veterinary care.  It combines lecture, demonstration and hands on skills practice.  The class includes a workbook and, upon successful completion, each participant will receive a 2 year certification in CPR and First Aid for Pets.
